Time domain nuclear magnetic resonance technology uses permanent magnetic fields and radio frequency energy to irradiate nuclei that are sensitive to nuclear magnetic resonance, such as hydrogen and fluorine. These sensitive nuclei generate radio frequency signals, and minispec then detects these signals. The amplitude and duration of these signals are related to the properties of the sample.
Unlike spectroscopic techniques, time-domain NMR is not affected by the color and surface properties of the sample. minispec is very suitable for quality assurance/quality control laboratories and R&D institutions because it can achieve non-destructive and non-invasive measurement and does not require sample preparation.
